Special needs loan
An additional loan granted to persons who have reduced working capacity, are disabled or have reduced mobility to make changes to their residential premises that are necessary due to their special needs. The loans are also granted for the purchase or construction of housing that is more expensive than otherwise due to special needs.
About special needs loans at HMS
The special needs loans are indexed loans with fixed interest rates for 5 years at a time. You can also get a special needs loan with a fixed interest rate for the duration of the loan.
Loans are only granted for apartments intended for personal use. It is not allowed to own more than one apartment with a loan from the Housing and Construction Authority, unless special circumstances apply, for example due to employment or family circumstances.
